Strategy Number 1 – Start with the end goal – whatever you are planning to implement in the CRM in your company, make sure to prepare a roadmap of what are all the things that you’re going to implement in the CRM
What happens once you start exploring CRM, you’ll find new features or functions that certain CRM can provide. You need to check whether this is ironing with your road map, or this is something else that is not actually related or important and you are trying to implement.
If you start doing all these unnecessary things, what will happen is you will get diverted from your primary goal. And it’ll be very difficult for you to implement the CRM in your organization.
Strategy Number 2 – Timeline – Whatever the road map you created in step one, you need to make sure that it is already having a timeline attached to it.
For example, the initial five days timeline is for doing the basic setup. Another 10 days, the timeline is for doing all the modifications with regards to the module, then maybe like another five days for the training implementation.
Like this, you need to set a timeline along with the road map, that you have already created.
This will help you to speed up the process.

Strategy Number 3 – One step at a time – Now what happens is if you take many CRM, it is having a lot of functions.
For example, if you take Solid Performers CRM, though, it is having more than 15+ modules, your requirement is only five primary modules. So you need to implement those five primary models at the beginning and that too, one module at a time.
You can start implementing the lead module, make sure the entire lead module is ready, and then proceed with the next module.
Once a vertical module is implemented and everything is taken care of, most of the other module functions are also related to that. So it’ll be easy for you to prepare things upfront and you can also understand what are all the things that you can expect out of this, which will easily help you in finishing the implementation of CRM in an effective way.
Strategy Number 4 – Training the team – This is where many companies are failing to implement a successful CRM in their company. What happens is you might find the CRM to be fascinating and it’ll be really good and you have implemented all the functions.
But when you go and start training your team, they will start to backfire because what actually happens is this is new to the team, right?
So they’re already using some other strategy like Excel without even using any kind of documentation before now, you are telling how to do everything in the CRM.
If you follow the strategy, number 3 properly, what will happen is you’ll immediately implement only the lead model. Then you can train your team to start using only the lead module. So they will not find it too heavy because they’re implementing a small part of it.
Once they start implementing that for almost a month or two, then you can slowly tell them, that you can use this additional deal module or client module, or support module.
If they go step by step, it will be easy for them also to understand, and you can also train them easily. And I highly recommend you to find a CRM where you can also get training from the CRM provider itself directly. Instead of you training your team, what will happen is when the CRM provider itself is training your team members, they will give you more insights about the product and your team will understand easily.

Strategy Number 5 – Usage of the CRM
What is the effective usage of CRM?
What is the main thing that you need to consider is whether your team is using the CRM effectively, whether they are adding all the concepts properly or adding all the data properly.
Make sure they are using the CRM in an effective way for their benefit first because once they started realizing the importance of CRM, it’ll be really easy for them to start using it and they will not go back to any of the old strategies which they are following.
So that is again, the most important strategy, which you need to consider.
Here comes the last strategy for a successful implementation of CRM in a company
Strategy Number 6 – Periodical Monitoring
So now what are all the things that you need to monitor?
You can set up a list list of metrics, which you need to follow, and based on that, you can have a periodical monitoring once a week, or once in two weeks, at least for the initial three to six months of CRM implementation.
Now you will get to know whether your team is using the CRM in an effective way and you will also get to know whether they are feeling productive about this.
Maybe you can have a team review meeting. What will happen is during this time, you can be able to understand all the difficulties, and what they’re facing and can be able to remove all kinds of bottlenecks in an effective way.
For example, if this is done for a period of maybe around three months, then there is no need to worry about any of the CRM implementations, because it is already implemented in an effective way, and they will not be facing any kind of difficulties going forward down the line for 5 or 10 years, or even if a new team member joins your organization, your existing team members will train them how to use the CRM
