In this blog, I will explain the steps to make your lead nurturing process more effective compared to any other old techniques you’re following.

 

Step 1 – Choose the right CRM – If the CRM solution, that you’re using is not good, then you will be facing a lot of difficulties. Whatever you’re going to use should be able to send delayed emails exactly however you want to set it up.

 

It should also have the option to add hyperlinks and images or text along with the content in the mail. If possible, you can also add emojis in the mail. So these are all the requirements you need to consider while choosing a CRM.

Step 2 – Set up the sequence – Now setting up the sequence is highly essential in the case of the lead nurturing process, because lead nurturing is not a one-day activity. You have to set up a mail sequence for at least one month.

 

Over a period of one month, you can send up to 10 to 12 emails not more than that, because if you’re going to send them a mail on a daily basis, it might not be too relevant until, and unless your product or service has so many benefits and you want to share that with the prospect or lead.

 

Step 3 – Monitor the Success rate – Once the sequence is set up, you need to monitor the success rate.

 

What do I mean by success rate?
When you are nurturing the lead over time, for example, let’s consider sending emails to 500 potential leads or, you know, contacts or raw data. Out of this 500, how many people are making inquiries to you? Like how many of them are submitting the lead form? What you’re having on your landing page. Now this defines the success rate of the sequence.

Once all these four primary steps are done, one of the most important steps, which many business people forget is to build the exact landing page,  the mail sequence, or the WhatsApp messages or SMS, whatever you are sending, it is just giving them a brief.

 

When they click on the link, which is provided in the mail, they should not simply land on your homepage. Because again, if they’re landing on a homepage, your homepage is having too many things. It is not focused. So since it is not focused, the lead who’s visiting the website might not get attracted to whatever things they are seeing.

 

Instead, they are simply seeing again, very general content, which is not giving them clarity of what they wanted. Now you should understand one primary thing, how to build your landing page.

 

The lead is visiting your website after seeing your mail. So the mail content should go hand in hand with the landing page content. Now, once these two things are designed in a hand-in-hand manner, then what will happen is automatically the lead will visit your website and then they will start sharing their details with you. Or they will start booking an appointment with you. That is what is really important.

 

So make sure your landing page is designed in the exact way, how it should be designed. And you also make sure that you are having various landing pages for various mail content based on the context of the mail.

 

Now, once this is done, you can be able to generate high-potential leads because the lead is actually seeing your mail going through the mail, and understanding the value or benefit, which is available in your product or service.

Now, out of 85% of the people, only 40% of the people know about your product or service, they know this will really help them, but they might not be looking to take your service right now immediately and that too especially from you, they are still thinking basically.

 

And if you take the last 40 or 45% of the category, they are really not aware of your product or service.

 

Take an example of Real Estate – If you take the same scenario of 100 people at a time, maybe one or two people will be urgently looking out for a house. They want to shift it within a week or something like that, so that is the top category of people.

 

These will be the very high potential leads and everyone is concentrating on them. But the competition is really high. If you take the next level of risk, maybe like 10 to 15 people might be looking out for a house, but they might not be willing to shift immediately for some reason, but they are really looking out for, but they want to make sure that they are shifting to a new house and maybe another two or three months.

 

If you take the third category, like the 40%, whatever I told them they are not looking out for a house very urgently, but they will be buying a house in case if it matches their exact requirement, they don’t have a timeline, they might take six months or one year or even two years also. But if the right house comes in, they might buy.

 

The last 40% might not even think about buying a house. But still, they’ll make inquiries. When they see your ad on something, they’ll still make an inquiry

 

Now, why am I telling you this?

 

This is really important when you are performing lead nurturing.

 

So what is basically lead nurturing is you are going to bring that third category of 40% of the leads to a high potential prospect so that you can be able to convert them easily to your clients.

 

Imagine instead of competing for only the top two percent or top 10 percentage, you have that additional 40 percentage of the people out of that 40 percent, you are nurturing on a regular basis by sharing, related information about your product or service.

 

And once they’re ready, then they will be buying your product or service. Even if you convert 10% out of 40% it is a very high volume. It is not a normal volume while you’re generally thinking, because on top 10 percent, everyone is targeting them.

 

Since they are already seeing your emails on a regular basis, they are already interacting with you or your team on a regular basis. The probability of them buying a product or service from you is very high when compared with them going and checking out for your competitors when they’re planning to purchase, which is also really important in the lead nurturing process.

 

So what do we do in this lead nurturing process?

 

You will be sending them a sequence of emails or SMS or WhatsApp communication to make your lead, understand the importance of your product or service or the advantages, benefits, and values of your product or service.

 

What will happen is when they’re making an inquiry, in the beginning, they might not know about your product or service to the core.

 

But when you are going to share these benefits or values over a period of time, like maybe one month or two months with a stipulated time gap, maybe like once in two to three days, you’ll be sending them a mail and they’ll go through your mail to understand, what else this and what are you trying to share. So they will be getting a clear idea of your product or service.

 

You might be sending 10 emails, out of the 10 emails, the prospect might think that one email is really important. The value of the benefit, what you told me in one particular mail is really important. And they might get in touch with you immediately.

 

And you don’t know which one is that. So you have to make sure that you are setting up this entire sequence and that you are going to send them on a regular basis so that they will be aware of your product. And once it is the right time, they will make an inquiry to you, which is basically you are generating a high potential lead.

 

Know your Business Flow Clarity – If you are the one who is going to make this content ready, the title, or the automation-ready for your company, then you must know each and everything about your business, not the entire product manufacturing or something, but you should know the entire sales cycle, the client cycle, how they are doing each and everything. If you know that, then this will be very easy.

 

Prepare the benefits of your product or service – Maybe your product might be having 5 to 10 primary benefits you need to solve that out. Like take a paper now and make sure to write all the 10 different benefits of your product or service.

 

Find the bottleneck – In your product or service implementation, what happens is many, a time when your prospect comes in and makes an inquiry with regards to your product or service, they might be facing difficulty in implementing your product or service at a particular point in time, find the bottleneck.

 

And if you know this bottleneck, we have to prepare the content around this. So just take your product or service, and write 5 or 10 points about your political product bottleneck in which the clients are facing difficulty implementing.

 

For example, if you’re a website developer, and if your client has to prepare content and give you now, they might be feeling difficulty in preparing the content for the website, correct. Now the flow or the bottleneck here, what you need to do is you need to guide them and help them in such a way that’s so that they can be able to prepare the content on their own. That is what you need to prepare as a title

 

The final product of output – What your client is expecting out of your product or service? we talked about the benefits before, but benefits are different from products.

 

For example, if you take CRM, the benefit is you can be able to perform so much automation, but the output is the system will take care of the follow-up on an automated basis so that it saves your time.

 

So for your product or service, also, you need to prepare this particular thing. So again, as I told you, you have to take five or 10 in this as well.

 

Client or prospect onboarding flow – For example, when the client subscribes to your product or service, how will be the onboarding sequence? Will they be directly purchasing and starting using your product, or will they be following particular steps to implement it? How much time it will take? What are the difficulties they might be going through?

Now, just take a list and prepare this onboarding flow title aspect. Now from these four things, whatever I told you, you might have got at least 40 different points, like 10 from benefits, 10 from output 10, from your onboarding sequence, and 10 from your product or service things, and 5 or 10 from your bottleneck.

 

Now, once these are ready, now, it is time for you to create the flow because based on this flow is what you’re going to prepare all your mail contents, everything accordingly.

 

Again, you need to design what is the channel, and which you’re going to use to create this automation. Obviously, you can use multiple automation channels.

 

For example, if you use a CRM like Solid Performers, you can be able to use email, SMS, WhatsApp, and notification. All these various channels are available for you to send automated mail sequences. But again, it varies and it depends based on your requirement.

 

Once this is ready, you just select simply what activity are they going to perform?

 

For example, if a lead or prospect is making an inquiry, you are going to send a sequence of 10 emails or 10 SMS with a combination of all these 40 titles.

 

Now from these titles, your lead or prospect will get complete knowledge about your product or service. That is the primary goal behind doing all these automation activities because the lead is getting nurtured automatically so that they will be coming to the next level of their business growth.

Strategy Number 1 – Start with the end goal – whatever you are planning to implement in the CRM in your company, make sure to prepare a roadmap of what are all the things that you’re going to implement in the CRM

 

What happens once you start exploring CRM, you’ll find new features or functions that certain CRM can provide. You need to check whether this is ironing with your road map, or this is something else that is not actually related or important and you are trying to implement.

 

If you start doing all these unnecessary things, what will happen is you will get diverted from your primary goal. And it’ll be very difficult for you to implement the CRM in your organization.

 

Strategy Number 2 –  Timeline – Whatever the road map you created in step one, you need to make sure that it is already having a timeline attached to it.

 

For example, the initial five days timeline is for doing the basic setup. Another 10 days, the timeline is for doing all the modifications with regards to the module, then maybe like another five days for the training implementation.

 

Like this, you need to set a timeline along with the road map, that you have already created.

 

This will help you to speed up the process.

 

In case you get stuck anywhere, you can be able to understand where is the bottleneck and you can correct it easily.

 

Strategy Number 3 – One step at a time – Now what happens is if you take many CRM, it is having a lot of functions.

 

For example, if you take Solid Performers CRM, though, it is having more than 15+ modules, your requirement is only five primary modules. So you need to implement those five primary models at the beginning and that too, one module at a time.

 

You can start implementing the lead module, make sure the entire lead module is ready, and then proceed with the next module.

Strategy Number 4 – Training the team – This is where many companies are failing to implement a successful CRM in their company. What happens is you might find the CRM to be fascinating and it’ll be really good and you have implemented all the functions.

 

But when you go and start training your team, they will start to backfire because what actually happens is this is new to the team, right?

 

So they’re already using some other strategy like Excel without even using any kind of documentation before now, you are telling how to do everything in the CRM.

 

If you follow the strategy, number 3 properly, what will happen is you’ll immediately implement only the lead model. Then you can train your team to start using only the lead module. So they will not find it too heavy because they’re implementing a small part of it.

 

Once they start implementing that for almost a month or two, then you can slowly tell them, that you can use this additional deal module or client module, or support module.

 

If they go step by step, it will be easy for them also to understand, and you can also train them easily. Strategy Number 5 – Usage of the CRM

What is the effective usage of CRM?

What is the main thing that you need to consider is whether your team is using the CRM effectively, whether they are adding all the concepts properly or adding all the data properly.

 

Make sure they are using the CRM in an effective way for their benefit first because once they started realizing the importance of CRM, it’ll be really easy for them to start using it and they will not go back to any of the old strategies which they are following.

 

So that is again, the most important strategy, which you need to consider.

Strategy Number 6 – Periodical Monitoring

So now what are all the things that you need to monitor?

Now you will get to know whether your team is using the CRM in an effective way and you will also get to know whether they are feeling productive about this.

For example, if this is done for a period of maybe around three months, then there is no need to worry about any of the CRM implementations, because it is already implemented in an effective way, and they will not be facing any kind of difficulties going forward down the line for 5 or 10 years, or even if a new team member joins your organization, your existing team members will train them how to use the CRM
